Medicare Treatment
If you have a prescription from your MD for medically necessary physical therapy services and you are seeking treatment for that issue, we cannot see you, even if you want to see us.
This is because we are not enrolled as a Medicare provider so our payment system is not set up to bill to Medicare. If you have Medicare, you will need to use your Medicare benefits first with a Medicare approved PT outside of ProBalance (we would be happy to give you referrals).
While our physical therapists cannot accept even cash payment for medically necessary services for a Medicare beneficiary, some Medicare eligible clients can be seen at ProBalance for our preventative, general fitness, general maintenance, and wellness services which are not Medicare eligible interventions. This includes even if you have secondary coverage beyond your standard Medicare benefits.
We may need to discuss your specific case to determine if it is truly wellness or treatment. If it is determined that services performed by our PT/PTA is not medically necessary and truly is for wellness/maintenance/general wellbeing, we will have you sign a form indicating that we are performing wellness services only (see WELLNESS or FITNESS Rates).
Wellness services are not covered by Medicare and are not to be submitted to Medicare or any other insurance for reimbursement.
